What is Soaking Prayer?
Soaking is a dedication: "God, this time is just for you."
Soaking is an invitation: "God, do what you want to do in me."
Soaking is an expectation: "Thank you Father, for what you are accomplishing as I rest in you."
Soaking is a Psalm 23 experience. He makes us lie down in green pastures, He leads us beside still waters. He restores our soul. It's a time of refreshing and renewal. We invite you to join us in "corporate contemplation".
Sessions are on Sabbatical
Chris & Betsy Savage came to the Black Hills from Redmond , WA with over 20 years of ministry experience, most recently serving on support staff at Overlake Christian Church. In addition to their staff roles, Chris & Betsy actively served in music, drama, women's, singles, small groups and missions. Their four grown children reside in the greater Puget Sound area.
Chris is a classically trained keyboardist who began serving as a church musician in his youth and delights is seeing how God "downloads" His love though music.
Betsy has her Certificate in Biblical Studies and is an actor/pastor/teacher/leader/artist who loves it when people get a glimpse of the Father's love for them.
In addition to their "day jobs", Chris & Betsy have a fledgling music ministry of their own called Fall River Music and together, with their greyhound and cat make Hot Springs their home.
